Huh. Yeah, it's no fun to break the control panel.
I reckon we could at least upgrade to the point that we're able to. But it looks like we'll need to deal with it at some point in the future, huh? Anyway, do we know if upgrading MySQL will help our Big Problem? Because that would be good, and worth doing, if cautiously, if so.
Don't know about MySQL -- we're at 3.23 right now. It goes as high as 5. Could do, could do.
Spend the $99, ita. I'll contribute, if it'll help. 3.23 is ancient, and it's not going to get any better.
Does the Plesk upgrade also include an upgrade to a recent Fedora?
Nope. The Fedora upgrade is separate -- Enterprise Server has an initial cost, plus a yearly cost ($349, IIRC).
We do have a good chunk of change in the bank right now, if finances are a question.
OK. Automagical tag closing seems to be working in my dev nook. How do we get some exhaustive pounding on it?
Decide how many testers you want, ask for volunteers, and e-mail them the sooper sekrit URL.
Decide how many testers you want,
Lets say 2 really bad tempered vicious types.
ask for volunteers,
Any really bad tempered vicious types out there who want to wreck some code?
and e-mail them the sooper sekrit URL.
Will do.
I'm inexperienced in the vicious code wrecking, but I'm not doing anything else right now.
