Well, if it gets moved to the buffista server eventually, he could tie it in to the profiles and have it automatically detect if something is a username. Or have people be able to add things in fun from the map itself (with special icons), but only set their own pin from within their "Set Profile" page, (that way, if waldo is a user who rarely posts, say, but somebody wants to make the joke about Waldo, then they can do it with the correct icon.) Plus, adding longitude and latitude entering capabilities, for more precise pin-setting.
The possibilities are endless, actually.
Or we could, you know, not screw around with putting goofy things on the map. Just a thought.

We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dreams.
I think Buffistas should wear GPS receivers with wireless internet capability. That way the map can show everyone's actual location in real time.
Oh, that would rock! Can you do that, Gus?
On the Buffistamerica map, is it possible to have different colors for the more, um, fanciful pins?
Damn, I liked it better the other way.
t problem causer
But I like tommyrot's idea. Can we get on that?

Now
that's
what I'm talking about.
Hey, if you've got the budget, I've got the time. I'm sure it will go over great with the folks who didn't want their names on a viewable Buffistas list.
"Check it out, dude. ita's shopping at the mall!"
The map should also show clowds of ~ma heading to and fro.

Now
that
we can do. More like little sparkly rays than clouds. It is on my list.
eta: It would be on a separate ~ma map, (using the same pins from the locator map) with only a few outbound ~ma rays available to each registered Buffista user. Man, I would just dig pulling up the map and seeing all those rays coming to me, if I needed them. It would so rock the house on a down day.
