Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Maybe something like Gus's, but with a bootprint instead of a footprint, to emphasize the "stompy" part.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Woops. I went away and did this , and missed Jon B's post. Kinda too frivolous, huh?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Kinda too frivolous, huh?

Yeah, I like your other one a lot more.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm picturing the stompy foot as a Doc Martin. Above the boot there is a black and white striped stocking and above that a frilly black goth-y skirt.

But that's just me.

Art Crawl!!!

I was picturing a Doc Martin too!

But my imagining didn't go further than that.

Cool. Doc Martin, with goth-wear. Is that the consensus?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'm okay with the Doc Martin. But I definitely agree that the idea was to create a graphic that could not be misunderstood, as it would only be used in times of trouble. The goal was to get the attention of the warning recipient, to notify them that something official is happening. So I was kinda okay with the original image. It was no-nonsense and clear.

The other concern was that Stompy is a term that we use here and on TT. There was some concern that a newcomer might not know that a Stompy was an Admin, and that the warning came with teeth.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, remember that conversation about getting rid of inactive accounts? I just got this in an email from a board I don't even remember registering on:

We also would like you guys to know that, due to bandwidth issues, we will be forced to erase all 0 posts members from our database in a few days. Those who registered and have never come back are taking up MB's space, what helps causing the down times. Note that we are not forcing anyone to post or participate, we're just letting you know the reason for some measures that will be taken soon.

We have nothing against lurkers, this is just the only way to free space for those who we know have made MB a great online comunity.

Huh.

That makes no sense. How do members who register and then never post or even come back contribute to bandwidth issues?
