Just now, trying to post in Bureaucracy:
There has been an error. It's of the type we call fatal. Please don't be scared. You're not the one that's going to die.
Okay, where the $$&#&(@#& are the developers?
Also, the board's been slow all day.
'War Stories'
Do you have problems, concerns or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.

Maybe the Phoenix Board itself is as worn out by Bureaucracy as I?

It's forshadowing. Someone in Bureaucracy will die in the season finale.
This may have been mentioned before, and I apologize if it has, but I have a suggestion.
Twice since I started posting (which was yesterday) I've been burned by the ignoring single line breaks, though I typically like it. I can do the whole t br thing, of course, but I'd much rather have a quick-edit thing. Something like '1' maybe. This way, if i want to make a list of things I hate, I could type:
1 Fox
1 The guy at Fox that cancelled Wonderfalls
1 The Nielsen rating system
1 The people that watch <i>The Swan</i>And get back:
Fox
The guy at Fox that cancelled Wonderfalls
The Nielsen rating system
The people that watch The Swan
If you want to make a list, you can use the * quickedit. That will put a bullet at the start of the line.
I'm thinking, a propos of the convo in Bureaucracy right now, could we maybe find a way to make a page of registered users with links to their profiles?
I second 'Suela's notion, with enough fervor to do the coding, if required.
It's easy to do the coding. [edit: In fact, Stompies already have access to just such a list]. One issue ita's had in the past (with which I agree) is that a page with 1300 rows would be taxing on the server and unwieldy. We could limit it to, say, 50 profiles on a page, but that would still tax the server just as much, I believe, since it would still need to sort through all the userids before displaying them, but I'm not sure about that.
It takes long enough just to load the combo box on the Stompies' page.
I would imagine a list page built once per (select your favorite period of time) that would just be an "include", without processing to build per request.
