Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I did, too. Weird.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I definitely fixed that bug, but since I can't see the bad link anymore, I can't tell why the bug reappeared...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So, a single/double mismatched quote dealie?

Ayup. Everything from the mismatched tag was swallowed until somewhere in the start of the display of the next post.

It didn't break the posting box, I don't think -- maybe that's what was fixed?

What I fixed was the t form t /form container. Before the fix, the t form tag intersected improperly with one of the table tags or somesuch.

I thought it was a broken table. It looked like previous broken tables I'd seen here.

No -- the problem Jon had already fixed was broken tables preventing you from editing posts.

Jilli's problem was a broken href, and therefore unfixed and ooky.

I was just trying to recreate the problem, but since the really bad part only shows up when you try to edit, I can't recreate without doing a bad post. Is there still a test environment up where I can play?
