It took me a couple of days to get used to this board style, coming from that cascading thread style of discussion, but I'm so used to it now, I find the cascading thread style distant and impersonal.

Do you have problems, concerns or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
in love with Shawn.
writing up a challenge to Bob.
Do you guys need to take the trouble to accomodate non-posters?
Maybe they're non-posters because they couldn't work out how to get around.
Perhaps, but where do you limit usability concerns? The universe of possible users or...the users?

I'd just as soon they lurked for a bit and got the hang of thangs before they they posted.
It's an incredibly clean and easy-to-navigate board. I vote: don't mess with what's working.

you know what, I'm ok with that. I don't want to try to be the board for everyone. If they don't like this set-up , there are other set-ups. If there are specific problems, then I'd think they would email an admin about them, or ask in a thread.
where do you limit usability concerns?
I don't think you limit them by saying you don't care about decorating for people who couldn't find the front door.
I think you limit them by a) standards of interface design b) alienating current users.
Which does leave room to play.

don't mess with what's working.
I could say that about the code too. But I won't. Because just because it works, doesn't mean it can't work better.
There's absolutely to reason to think we did it completely right the first time.
Therefore my question.

It may not be completely right, but it is, hands down, the most user-friendly, clean, pretty, and functional boards I've ever seen. Can't wait to see where you go from here.
