I can make pretty graphs, if you like.
Shiny!
As one who was griping about a big slowdown, I have to say that it does seem much faster now. I'd be very interested to know what shows up with a little more time (and pretty graphs).

Do you have problems, concerns or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.

We could always tie the random quote generator to a cron job, have the quote change only once a day...
Yep. I proposed that ages ago. However, as ita pointed out, that requires work. :)
Hey! Changing quotes! Sweeeeeet....
I notice no degradation of service.
I'm on my dial-up at home, no noticeable difference in speed.
I didn't notice any difference in speed, nor before neither after I noticed the change.
Also, if we see that the RQG can stay, I already have a bunch of "Firefly" quotes to e-mail whomever it is who may put them up there, as well.
RQG is back! Yay. I am not noticing the board being any slower. Hoping it can stay.
Hey, I have a stupid question... Who was it that set up the latest LAistas mailing list? Was that Tom C? Whoever it was, could you kindly send me an email at my profile addy? It would be greatly appreciated.
The board is trying to prevent another Tim-centered gender debate in Minearville, as I got this when I tried to post:
Warning: error_log: Unable to write to /home/httpd/vhosts/buffistas.org/httpdocs/phoenix/ www.buffistas.org/logs/20040307_log.html in /home/httpd/vhosts/buffistas.org/httpdocs/classes/giles.php on line 52There has been an error. It's of the type we call fatal. Please don't be scared. You're not the one that's going to die.
Okay, where the $$&#&(@#& are the developers?
That said, the post did actually go through.
It looks like that directory wasn't writable by the apache user. I changed the permissions of the directory. We'll see if that makes a difference.
