I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

That seems to have slowed the board down signifigantly.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We can't downgrade, pretty much -- we'd have to switch hosts again.

No coding has been done since we got here, so we haven't addressed any of the issues that made us need to be here.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Adding thanks for returned RQG!

It mightn't stay -- depends on its impact.

Of course, ita. It's one of those bells and whistles that are nice to have, but not worth risking the site for.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

My gut says the board is way slow since reinstating the quotes, but then again, that's my gut and not an objective anything. Could just be the afternoon slowdown, either of the internet or my own brain.

Speaking for myself only, I'd rather see no quotes than either the same quote forever or a slow board.

Seems a little slower to me too.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Speaking for myself only, I'd rather see no quotes than either the same quote forever or a slow board.

You speak for me as well.

Rob - Mar 02, 2004 9:44:10 am PST #6634 of 10000

Yep, it does seem slower.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Me too. OTOH, I'm not entirely sure I would have noticed if Tom hadn't mentioned it, so I'm happy leaving any decisions in the hands of people with access to actual numbers.
