Huh.
For the second time, or the third, if you count the missing post 1 in Spoilers, a thread has told me there are two new, when there's just the one.
This happened with the first post in Beep Me post move, and again in Minearverse just now.
Do you have problems, concerns or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
Huh.

Huh. Okay. THere have been a number of times recently that I have checked my message center page, seen that a thread has two new messages, and when I clicked on that thread to read them, only found one new message.
I just had this happen in Minearverse, and when I looked close, a post number was skipped.
So, the message center page seems to be counting by post numbers, rather than actual new posts, OR posts are getting eaten, but the posters making them aren't saying anything about it.
(x-posty with my favoritest Pleiades in the whole wide world)
It seems to me that the skipped post is happening in the first post in each thread that has been posted after the move.
I think sj is on to something. The skipped post in Nillytown was between the last post on the old server and the first one on the new.
I think so was the one in Beep Me, and I'm certain this is the first time anything's been posted in Minearverse.
I think it probably happened in Natter and Bitches, but we're so chatty there that nobody noticed the discrepency between the reported and actual post counts.

That was my working theory. Which I failed to post with my post, cause I'm a dork.
Go sj with the theory-making!
Do any of y'all see two new in quotable Angel or in Other Media?
Yes, P.M., looks like we figgured it out.
