You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If we ever do need raid, we want to spend time configuring it.

I doubt we'll get the opportunity to spend time getting not cheap hardware, though. We should probably just ask them what they do.

Sorry, just a question ... was the message centre supposed to go away? Because its gone and I'm a little confused.

Abby, I think that it's not gone as much as its page is not fully loaded on occasion, as another aspect of the error message that some are getting (including me, and it's getting worse with time, in fact).

Of course, I have no real knowledge to support this assumption.

Lots of thanks to ita and Jesse and Kristen and Monique and everybody else who is working hard for all of us, because it can never be said enough.

Ah, that would make sense. Thank you Nilly!

And adding my thanks to yours, cause everyone who keeps this place afloat is amazing!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just for the record, I'm not doing anything but paying the nice people.

Yeah, but you've volunteered to handle the board's finances as a whole. That may not involve problems beyond some simple accounting for this group, but in general taking such a position is making oneself a lightning rod for complaints and accusations from every disgruntled person who kicked in 50¢ at one point and doesn't like how it's being spent.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Also, if we ever get sued, You're the person who's name and address they have. :)

Hmm.... When you put it that way....

Anyone want to take over?

Just kidding. I'm good. NO ONE SUE ME, OK!?!?!

NO ONE SUE ME, OK!?!?!

I've put you on my do-not-sue list. You must allow up to 10 business days for this to process. If you get sued during this time period, please disregard.

Quick response from iStrata:

I've gone ahead and ordered the server from our vendor, typically it takes a week to get the server, load the OS/software, and install in our data center. I'll follow-up as soon as the server is ready. Let me know if you have any further questions.

So, we should hear back from them by the end of next week, assuming a longer timeframe because of the holiday.

Edit: Heh, Wolfram.
