I think the end of the month should be a target.
Let's assemble tasks:
- Question iStrata (I have some about provided software -- are there others?) [ita]
- Archiving (underway -- we need to decide how many of the closed threads should be archived) [DX]
- Signing up [Jesse]
- Configuring [techies - ita/TomS?]
- Move buffistas.net DNS to point to iStrata [Jesse]
- Test migration to buffistas.net on iStrata [ita, w/Steven's help]
- Test banging on buffistas.net [team of volunteers]
- shut down b.org
- Migrate code and data to iStrata[ita]
- Move buffistas.org DNS to iStrata [Jesse]
- Go live
The main question I have about the provided software is whether or not we have to use it to manage the system. The web page wasn't very clear on that.
Did you not like what you see? Me, I'm in favour of web administration, because I can only use HTTP ports from work. Did you have a web alternative, or were you wanting a command line?
I'd like to know if they provide an offering akin to what you get with a standard account, including webmail, phpMyAdmin, mailing lists, etc.
I have been some page not found messages. Browser thing? I'm in ie
I got the same messages in Netscape. Locked out for 10 min or so.
I've been getting sporadic "cannot connect to remote server" messages in Opera this morning.
Which I'm getting again right now.
I just got this error message:
There has been an error. It's of the type we call fatal. Please don't be scared. You're not the one that's going to die.
Okay, where the $$&#&(@#& are the developers?
This was after trying to submit a post, then not having it go through (but I got a "server not found" error on that one, and I've been having interent connectivity issues all day).
were you wanting a command line?
I didn't see anything that indicated that a command line was an option. A web interface is OK, but I need a command line if I am going to run the kind of performance testing I had planned.

The pages are very vague.
So your question is: "Will we have SSH access to the server?"
Is there more?
