A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Do we know if the restart actually happened last night?

tommyrot - Oct 30, 2003 3:02:56 am PST #5891 of 10000
Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm still seeing the error message this morning.

Clear your browser cache.

(sorry....)

Thanks for all the fish.

I just got the error for the first time.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've gotten at least one error message, though not a bunch in a row, anyway.

Swouncing

not a bunch in a row, anyway.

I had much fewer (is that correct English?) error messages.

They were both more sparse in time, and, like Theo, not even once today were they in a row (on the last several days they were cases of 5-6 errors in a one after the other).

Cindy - Oct 30, 2003 3:37:01 am PST #5895 of 10000
Nobody

I've had fewer errors than yesterday (only two so far), but still got them pretty early. At least one happened around 6ish, Eastern.

eta...

And of course right now, when I tried to submit this post the first time.

Hard work often pays off after time, but laziness always pays off now.

Got the new error message twice in a row when I first logged on.

ETA: And twice when I tried to post

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

We can see if msyqld was actually restarted by doing a "SHOW STATUS" query, and seeing what it reports for uptime.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What's the unit for uptime? It reads 3261582. Looks like a long time, if those are seconds.

Yikes. Forgot being in mysql would lock everyone out. Sorry.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yep, the unit is seconds, so it's been up for about 37 days, i.e. not restarted last night.
