Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

A whole story? One that won't be lost in a sea of blinding blue? (My apologies for the scary webpage, it was done during my Frontpage phase. *shudder*)

I feel subconscious and unusually chatty. All the other posts here seem to be no bigger than two lines. But fine, since you asked....

1999 - Joss wants to do a charity thing for his pet charity, the Huckleberry Fund. It provides medical care and information to kids living on the streets. Coca Cola wants to do a promotion with BtVS. They call Joss, Joss says, "Woo! Two birds, one PR campaign!" And together they host "The Barq's and Buffy Halloween Bash," where fans and Childrens Hospital patients mingle with cast members while watching "Fear Itself." And get Buffy bears.

Shortly after, we raffled off a Promo Buffy bear for the Fund as a thank you to Joss. It went over well, but then the Huckleberry Fund seemed to fade into oblivion - I certainly don't recall Joss ever mentioning them again. I've scrolled the CH website looking for updated information about the HF, but can only find old mentions. I think it got absorbed into the High Risk Youth Program, which appears to provide all the services (and more) that the HF used to handle.

And that's all I know. However, I still have all my old contact names and numbers, so if this charity is something you want to follow up on, let me know and I'll start calling. I could use a good kick in the pants to get involved in something worthwhile again.

Sweet. Thanks, Polgara. We've been discussing First Book and Heifer.org as contenders.

We should do an Alias fundraiser and get the Vartan lurve. But would we have to change our names to Aliasistas?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

But would we have to change our names to Aliasistas?

That's the beauty of it - you could call yourselves anything you want. Except possibly Aliasistas.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

No big thing, but I've noticed something in the quotes: sometimes when it's a bit of dialogue, the Speaker's Name field (or whatever it's called) is filled in, and it (apparently) doesn't need to be, since there's the speaker's name before each line. So, that could be cleaned up by someone...

If that makes any sense.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

You know what would be really neat? In about version 4?

If we could search a member's profile. Right now I am looking for Laura Holt's email, and although I can find a post by her pretty easily, it would be nice to be able to type in her user name and come up with her profile. I don't think there would be big anonymous-type issues, because all you see in someone's profile is what they put there.

Again, i have no idea how hard this would be to impletment or if it is at all possible-- and it is really just something to wish for in the far-distant future.
