If I only had a brain...

Has anybody else noticed that during heavy posting times, thread names intermittently disappear from the list on the left?

For instance, at some times this morning (7AM PST, 10AM board time) there was no "Grr Argh" in the list. I had Netscape search for the word "Grr" to be certain.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I hadn't checked my profile address in a couple of days. I got a bunch of votes in there from 5/20. Do I need to forward those to someone?

Our wings are not tired.

msbelle - Go ahead and forward them to me laura at holtsystems dot com

I think most people voted again after the forward was set up, but I will just delete if it is duplicated. Thanks.

Got 'em. Thanks. About half had voted again but the other half I didn't have. Not to worry, I didn't double count. We know how to count votes here in Florida.

All is well that ends in pizza.

We know how to count votes here in Florida.

Yeah, well, now...

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Odd quirk I just noticed -- links within a spoiler quick-edit tag aren't whitefonted, as in this post:

Jess PMoon "Buffista Movies 1: Go Monkey. Choose Monkey." May 24, 2003 4:25:42 pm EDT

(No spoilers in the link text, fortunately.)

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Yeah, I don't think quick edits within other quick edits work.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The link was just regular HTML, not a quick-edit.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's html, isn't it? if you want to change the default appearance of the t a text, you have to apply those changes within the tag.
