I am having werid trouble posting. I post, it drags and drags, and then I get a message saying it can't connect. However if I go to a new browser window and open up to the front page, my post has posted.

Do you have problems, concerns or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
Sophia, I've seen that, too. It's as though the posting process is proceeding at normal pace, but the search for the proper point to pick up the thread again is hanging.
Okay, in the last five minutes, I've had a suspended page notice and:
May 16, 2003, 4:29 pm P.M. Marcontell[13]: ERROR [2] mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) line 72 of file /home/buffist/public_html/classes/giles.php
There has been an error. It's of the type we call fatal. Please don't be scared. You're not the one that's going to die.
Okay, where the $$&#&(@#& are the developers?
I also had a suspended page.
Can a stompy email me my password so I can stop posting from a different name at work? When I click on the "email stompys directly" link on the set preferences page, it gives me an error message, so I have come here to prostrate myself before you.
What error message are you getting?
And I'll go in and reset your password -- expect confirmation e-mail shortly.
Thanks!!!!! If I click" email the admins" next to the change password stuff, I get this message:
Not Found The requested URL /integrated/email.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Apache/1.3.27 Server at buffistas.org Port 80
Do any of the change password links work for you? That's ... weird.
Not Found The requested URL /integrated/email.php was not found on this server.
Huh. Looks like the email admins link on the right sidebar goes to the right place (/email.php), but the one on the profile page goes someplace else.
Oh! That one. Lemme fix.
