Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

No worries, Nilly.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I was getting timeout messages for 45 minutes or so around 3:30-4.

Not javachik

In Natter, I just got a fluttering page, a cursor that went nuts and laid in several lines of blank space, flashing page when I hit "reload" and then... calm. I fear it is a calm before a storm. T-1 line using Mozilla reporting in, sirs and madammes.

Nobody

I just got the old DNS/This page cannot be displayed/no server message for a bit of time. Don't know if that means anything, but I thought I'd share.

I got one, too, for a couple of minutes. Seems fine now.

I'm not sure if ita can get in or not yet but she posted the following at PF:

In case you can't connect right now (like me):

Dear Customer,

This is a courtesy email to keep you informed of network maintenance at our datacenter. We will be setting up new firewall equipment at 10:00pm EST on May 6th. This maintenance is meant to provide better security in our datacenter, and provide better service to you. While the upgrade is being performed you may experience loss of connectivity and/or packet loss until we are finished. Thank you for your patience and we'll try to keep the maintenance time as short as possible.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, b-chick.

I guess they are still working because I was getting timed out for another hour.

Wow, that was weird. I just lost about half the internet for about half an hour. Couldn't get here, the test site, PF, LJ, or even my own site. Could get to WX, and other stuff.

Here was the only place I couldn't get (when I tried, which was probably only for 10 minutes or so).
