Also with the got logged out suddenly and was v. confused.

I didn't know before that in guest mode you can't see user profiles.

Me neither! so my first thought was "weird, did all the profile links disappear? Is something wrong??" and then when I saw no message center link, realized I was logged out. So. Yay for that profile thing! I like it!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Go to buffistas.org, and stay there. HR has changed a server side variable (the site used to think it was www.buffistas.org, but HR has changed it to buffistas.org), which means that all the dynamically generated links are different, as are the cookies.

Which means that as soon as I post this (I'm on my work machine), it will log me out.

I'll submit ANOTHER ticket.

How interesting, I get the cool B icon in my address bar when I'm on the home page but not inside any threads.

edit: But not all the time, ie, when I go to my History list and select buffistas. Hmm...

In IE, I get it in the "Links" toolbar, but not the address bar. In Opera, it's everywhere.

Relieved to see I'm not the only one having login problems today.

I can't log in at all using Mozilla. IE works OK.

edit: read ita's post. buffistas.org lets me log in from Mozilla.

ita: I can indeed confirm that $SERVER_NAME was www.buffistas.org in the phpinfo() file that you sent me.
