Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I dunno about the new message thing. I also dunno even about what I said, and wiser minds may correct me when they awake.

But meanwhile, it's like gambling! You might get a page header, you might get an error message, you might get full text! You could be the next winner!

But since it's probably a problem, I guess I'll just go to sleep.

Was nice seeing you, too, Nilly. Hope you're well. Glad you're seeing Firefly.

I refreshed my message center and got the header, my name and the logo, no threads listed.

After another refresh I got the whole page, and there was a new message in one of the threads (well, here, as a matter of fact).

The following time I refreshed my message center there was no problem, and there were no new messages.

Lather, rinse repeat. When the message center is being refreshed without problems, there aren't any new messages showing on it. Once it had no new messages, but when I went to the home page, there was a new one posted right then.

Can the half-blank screen have anything to do with the fact that there was a change in the database (a new post)? I am completely juggling geese at this point, of course, and have no idea what I'm talking about. Just wanted to point out something that may look like a pattern.

ETA: Like what just happened with this post.

And when I tried to read it, I got the post-less screen, like Matt described earlier, and needed to refresh a few times before I saw your post.

Oh gotcha. Yeah, I think the two are related. I know we've had weird post number things happen but not so many at once. At least once tonight, I went to post, got the error message in response and, while my post didn't appear, the next post number skipped.

I meant that I've seen some strange things with post numbers on this board in the past, but not 3 'strange things' at once.

It's happened at least a dozen times in the past three hours.

I didn't know that.

Now I got the strangest problem in the "Firefly" thread, and now it happened here, too:

On the message center is said that there are 2 new messages, and when I got to the thread there was only 1 new message, but its number was not the one following the former post, but the following+1. It was like a post went missing (and if a post is deleted, there are still 'marks' - it says who and when posted it, and who and when deleted it).

Now tagless for your comfort.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just got the same message four times, in this thread, Bitches, literary, and Natter.
