Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

'Cause there are people who watch Buffy but not Angel, and the Angel quotes just confuse and spoil them (in case they ever did want to watch in the future). I dunno, maybe it's stupid.

The quotes aren't spoilery, though -- they stop at S3 Angel and S6 Buffy, if that. For the UnAmericans among us.

Paul, it's randomised by MYSQL -- ORDER RANDOM LIMIT 1. I campaigned against moving the randomising into PHP, because I thought it would be too much of a performance hit for just a frill.

Yeah, but if people have never seen Angel at all, they are. Perhaps we don't care, I just know that I have a couple of friends that I would love to introduce to the Buffistas, but they'll be spoiled for Angel by the quotes.

The official line in the sand is that anything the Australians have seen is valid everywhere. So even if the quotes were somehow constrained, S1 Angel detailed plot summaries could pop up in Literary, Buffy, F2F planning, everywhere.

Yeah, that's true. I forgot about that.

OK, never mind!

Nobody

I think we can't care about people who haven't watched a show that's been on for four or seven seasons. We'd end up in white font forever.

eta...

sorry arby - I didn't see your last post before I submitted mine. Consider the dead horse unbeaten by me.

People in the UK who don't have cable/ satellite are only up to dead things . But fuck them - they're just not trying...

If I only had a brain...

All my Buffistas are belong to *crash*.

I got a couple of SQL errors, which I assume are logged, and an "unable to connect to socket" just now.

The connectivity to the database server disappeared for a minute or so.

Not javachik

Wow, the site went down for about .5 hour. But I guess you knew that.

I think it was a network problem (not the site itself), since I couldn't access Shriftweb either, and traceroute to both sites was getting stuck around the same place. Are both sites hosted in the same provider?
