I had a thread deleted thought -- not too hard to maintain the links, now that I've had time to ferment.
Deleting a thread -- removes the posts from the posts table and flags the post header (making it invisible in all thread lists, and deleting it from subscriptions and bookmarks). When someone clicks on a link to a vanished thread, it can forward the user to the standard archive thread where an anchor has been placed by the zipped file with the thread ID in it. The forward can automagically generate that anchored link.
OK, I get it. It's all about the coat. Yes, I understand. All clear. First it was funny, now I humbly request removing the quote.
Please.
Guess what quote is in the top right hand corner of my screen?
Shawn, my suspicion is that another quote will stick there instead -- it's not like there's any code that points to it in specific. It's the randomising that's broken. I still can't work out how to unbreak it, though.
How 'bout replacing it with
2003 *ita appreciation year* 2003
I see what you're saying, though.
I was leaning toward
naked Spike
but I think Shawn's suggestion is better.

Thing is, it used to work properly, didn't it? I can remember sitting hitting reload again and again one time just to read the quotes, and I never noticed the repetition.
It started doing it after ita, I think, added the full stop on request.
