You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Maybe if, instead of threads saying "67 messages, 0 new" or whatever, it could just say "67 messages" if there aren't any new ones, the way it was at WX (and, I think, TT). That way, to find threads with new posts, you can just quickly read through the thread list for the word "new."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, I'm getting the "not every 0 count topic at the bottom of the Message Center" thing sometimes. It maybe my browser (Opera) not refreshing completely... I will test this theory out in another browser.

No -- it just means that those posts are unread, but older than read posts in other threads.

anyone know why there a big space between my name and my tagline?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

It looks okay to me, Megan.

Does it go away if you widen your window a skosh?

I had that, too, but all it needed was for me to widen the browser window.

Megan E. - Sep 19, 2002 1:30:46 pm PDT #251 of 10000

My browser window is as big as I can get it. I guess I'll request a bigger monitor, or shorten the tag line.

looks better now. I thought maybe the board didn't like Avril Lavigne.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I know you guys have working on the "on" problem. I can now create it consistently.

Take the example of the t pre tag.

If I something like this: t pre one t /pre

no problem:

But the following verse which is wrapped in "pre" tags:

1) This old man.
2) He played .
3) He played knicknack on my thumb..

Note that the "one" on the second line of the verse poofs, but he "on" third does not.

Only the first instance gets stripped.

I don't have your stripping code to debug. But I think this info may give you a clue as to what is going wrong. It is a lot easier to find a solution when you can define with some precision what the problem is.

I think it may also have something to do with preceding the "on" word with a space.
