You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

Am I crazy, or is this thread the only one that Read New doesn't check?

(Note these are not necessarily two mutually-exclusive things.)

Er...Read New checks it fine for me...

RL, did you subscribe to this thread?

Yes'm. It's working; I was just confused.

I have a question regarding taglines; sorry if it's been dealt with before (couldn't keep up with this thread at WX). Will we get the option of turning off taglines like we did at WX?

See, the seasons are about to start, and I know that people are going to be using the best and wittiest lines from the shows as tags soon, which is perfectly understandable. Even if they're not spoilery per se, they can have the effect of taking you right out of the show if you're watching it for the first time, because you've read a certain phrase X times already.

I had the taglines turned off all the time at WX, and I have to say it was a real blessing when it came to enjoying the shows.

On Edit: it's fine if this isn't planned, BTW; I really don't want to come across as critical in the midst of all this boardy wondrousness where everyone is super-considerate of UnAmericans as it is. I was just asking!

Coding and Sleeping

ita. E-mail sent to profile addy. Maybe I can help a little. I don't have a lot of time, but I might be able to slowly do some things here and there.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Gud -- thanks. Now I just have to remember what the test password is, so you can get up to speed.

Which, unless I have a breakthrough, will have to wait until jon comes back.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I had a brainstorm this morning, I don't know if others would find it useful or not. When I click on Message Center, I'd find it really useful if the threads where the message count wasn't "0" were presented with a different color for their title, or message count. So that my bleary eyes, running down the page trying to figure out which thread gets priority would be drawn to the ones that are ripe for plucking.

I don't know how difficult the coding for this would be, nor how many people this feature would be invaluable for, since I'm much more visually-cued than average, but I speak sincerely when I say that for someone like me it would be really neat.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Fiona, when you register or go to your profile page to change a tagline, it says to avoid spoilery taglines for the sake of UnAmericans. I think people who ignore that and use spoilery taglines should get a thwack^H^H^H^H gentle suggestion from the Stompy Feet that their tag should be changed.

Roguish Laird

Connie, you do realise that threads with new messages are towards the top in Message Centre (sorry, I physically can't spell it the American way), right?

Which reminds me, I have a suggestion: how about categorised threads on the front page, non-categorised threads in the Message CentRE?
