Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ah. Ok then.

This board fails to correct or delete posts that are just plain stupid. I can't help feeling that's a flaw.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We can't be held accountable for you guys not using the latest in browser technology. You have to take some responsibility too.

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

If you have unread posts. It's when I want to go back to a thread I've read, to post in it, that I'm getting into changing my PPP so often.

Uh. I've got my permanently set to 20, and just went to Sunnydale Press, where there were no unread messages, and I got only the one most recent message. It didn't try to display 20.

I'm confused-- is that what you were talking about?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

If you choose 20, 20 is your maximum page size. If there were 20 or more unread posts you would get 20. If there were fewer than 20 unread posts then you get that number.

If you hit recent you get the most recent 20 post. (Clicking on a thread where you have read everything is the same as hitting recent. Clicking on a thread with unread posts gives you those posts)

If you hit previous and there are more than 20 prior posts, you get the previous 20 posts. If you hit next and there are 20 or more posts remaining after the last one on your current page you get 20. And so on.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

If I have a thread with no unread posts and I click it, sometimes it'll give me just the last post, and sometimes it'll give me the last 10.

t edit: OK, it looks like clicking regular threads will give me the last 10, while clicking threads in the right column will give me the last 1.

Oh. Interesting. 'Cause I'd gone to SP, of course. I wonder, why is that so?

No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

I was reading Kristen's postcard post in Press and wondering where she meant to put the line breaks (after I made a postcard out to "Les Moonves CBS"). And I was thinking, why does <BR>, out of all the common HTML tags, not have a quick-edit? Like

Haikus break on five
l And seven. They're not fragile;
l They just like coffee.

(l is for linebreak, since b is taken.) Also, I think <BR> should be on the list of HTML codes you can use on the Quickedit page. For lo, it hath confused even Joss.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Also, I think <BR> should be on the list of HTML codes you can use on the Quickedit page.

Done.

And I agree that an "l" quickedit for <br> would be a cool thing.
