I've just had a funny thing happen in Natter: SA posted, billytea posted a reply, I wrote a reply and posted it, to see that billytea had deleted his post, so I edit mine accordingly, but now I see no SA post, no billytea post, and not my post either. Where did they go? I think they should have come after post 2495.

The posts you replied to were in Beep Me, not in Natter, and yours and billytea's got deleted for nattering in a no-natter zone.
Am-Chau, that wasn't Natter. But it was natter. That was in Beep Me, and billytea deleted his post, and DX deleted yours.

Yup. I posted without noticing what thread I was in. Deleted it once I realised. (Read New's a great function, but I'm still coming to grips with one or two of the implications.)
Am, both you and billytea posted your responses to sa in Beep Me, not Natter. Beep Me is a no natter zone, which is why billytea deleted his post, and I stompied your's.
Right. That's what I get for being confused about where I'm posting. Still getting to grips with Read New, etc.

No worries, Am-Chau. I've done it, too, and got stomped.
edit: It's really a shame we can't actually put some kind of warning in the posting box, itself, for no natter threads. You can do it in Access forms.
That would be a help. If the posting box said 'No Natter Here', it would be much easier to avoid things like that. Which are very, very embarassing.
Out of curiosity, since it was my post they were replying to, what did you guys say?
As I recall, (and I'll move this to Bitches if BBaBB is Natter-free) Billytea quoted your last line "Jesus we have a lot of shit" and added, "It's a little known fact that this appeared in the first draft of the Book of Common Prayer, but was edited out before they went to press," to which I replied "Billytea, I must stop drinking before I read your posts. In fact, I think your tag should have a health warning in." Roughly- no swearing to accuracy here.
