Heroes 1: We Could Be Heroes
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the show and ancillary materials such as web comics! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. Chuffa, Chuffa!
Matt/Jessica = comedy gold.
Ha! Yes. Ali Larter's delivery on the window line killed me, like, she wasn't being dramatic or anything, she was just genuinely confused about Matt's presence after the window-throwing incident. Surely the next step in the conversation is something like "yeah, yeah, I remember now! It was after Fred's barbecue. So, how are the kids?"
I hope Matt doesn't die. He entertains me. "You know, the... uh... *draws a complete blank* ...porno!" Oh, MATT.
Man, I think this every time he's on screen. GAH. It's distracting, frankly. Plus, the thing with the truck? AWESOME.
thanks for not leaving me to hang out here alone in the WRONG corner, Ailleann. (the truck thing was all kinds of awesome.
Besides, I'm not sure he's had time to find and kill Claude .
exactly! he's been much too busy painting the future, killing his mom, calling his boyfriend Mohinder and stalking Peter/Claire/Ted.
hang out here alone in the WRONG corner
If thinking Sylar is hot (despite the evil) is wrong, I don't want to be right.
No, no killing Claude, or Ando.
The promo was hella confusing as to the state of animation for several characters.
While it's a theme this year, I wonder if "Sins of the Fathers" will be a bigger thing next year.
It's sad that there's no more awesome for any other series, since this one has ALL THE AWESOME!
A whole lotta things from 5 Years Later are coming to pass. I meant to note the explicit lack of Linderman references in that episode, and it looks like we may now know why. And, sadly, it looks like D.L.'s fate will be the same whatever happens next.
And, what the hell - slumbernut!!!!
DL can't be dead, otherwise how will Sylar get his power from him? In the 5 year future episode, Nathan/Sylar could reach through walls. I'm assuming he got the power from DL. At this point, we have no reason to believe what we saw for the future
isn't
going to happen as long as Sylar is left alive.
In the truck scene, I finally found Sylar hot. Out, damned hot!
It is really too bad that Peter didn't get to meet Linderman before he died. Now that very useful healing power is totally gone.
I'm worried about
everyone
now. No one is safe!
Oh,
Heroes.
Why must you embrace the cliche along with the awesome? (Not that there wasn't plenty of awesome to go around.)
I was thinking about Hiro and his father, and how he seemed to want to teach Hiro that to kill the enemy, you must destroy your heart, and cut out your emotional attachments(Gee, isn't that what Claude turned out to be
wrong
about in teaching Peter?) But why would Hiro like a story like that so much? And it struck me that, looked at from another angle, it's a story about sacrificing your life to protect someone you love(eyes Hiro nervously).
And HOLY SHIT, I saw that shot of Peter facing Sylar and suddenly I think I know what's coming. Would anyone mind a speculative ficlet?
it's a story about sacrificing your life to protect someone you love
That's how I took it and that's totally in Hiro's character to do.
