Wesley: Hey. Hey, Gunn. Is something weird going on? … Charles, you just peed on my shoes. Gunn: I'll be damned. That's weird.

'Life of the Party'

Heroes 1: We Could Be Heroes

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the show and ancillary materials such as web comics! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. Chuffa, Chuffa!

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

So, anybody up for some specs for the final three episodes? I'm unspoiled other than what I've seen of the promo and deliberately didn't read the big EW Heroes spread as I've been told it was chockful of spoilers. (And I'd like to stay that way!)

Some of the questions from the preview:

1) What's Molly Walker's power?
2) What sacrifice is Ma Petrelli asking of Nathan?
3) Will anyone else die?
4) If Hiro stops Sylar (I assume he will), then who will stop Peter?

I'm very intrigued by 2). There aren't that many things Nathan truly care for. There is his political ambition. And his family, which include Heidi and the boys, Peter, and Claire. And of course, there is himself. Could his mother be asking Nathan to sacrifice himself to stop Peter and save the world? Because if Nathan dies, I'd be heartbroken because I love Adrian Pasdar and the job he's doing in the role, but it'd also be some wonderful storytelling and a heroic end for a very ambiguous character who we've been told is capable of some very dark things. It'd also be in keeping with Peter's vision, in which Nathan approached him with a purposeful look on his face while everyone was backing away.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh, good, that's what I expected. But, relatedly, there are five covers, and I was anxious as to which one would show up in my mailbox. And, I won! I got the Bennets!

It'd also be in keeping with Peter's vision, in which Nathan approached him with a purposeful look on his face while everyone was backing away.

I think someone in this thread suggested that Nathan was coming to fly Peter up, up, and away where his explosion wouldn't hurt anyone. I mean, theoretically, he should be able to deposit him and fly away before getting blown up, but...he might just go kerblooey. I don't want to lose Nathan either.

I don't want to lose Nathan, Peter, Mama Petrelli (what's her power?!), Claire, Mr. Bennet, and Hiro & Ando (who we now know have to be a team for the sake of HIRO'S SOUL). I like the other characters okay, but I wouldn't be as sad/mad if they weren't around next season. That's not too much to ask, Tim Kring, is it?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I think someone in this thread suggested that Nathan was coming to fly Peter up, up, and away where his explosion wouldn't hurt anyone.

That's been my working theory for awhile, as well.

She's the mom, silly.

This. And then I think Mama Petrelli will force Linderman to heal Nathan.

edit...

Or or or, Peter will have picked up the healing power, by then.

I'm not sure Linderman can heal someone obliterated to smithereens.

I like the suggestion that Linderman will offer to heal Nathan's wife.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

OK, Nathan grabs Peter, pulls him tight, launches into the air and the two explode ...

Yeah, that's a lot of Bro-Yay, even for this show.

Thanks, tiggy -- I know, but I can't purge the association from my brain, even though most of the SPN fans I know are not into it for the Bro-yay and the ones who are, eat their beautiful cake at bakeries I don't know about.

Not my cup of tea either, admittedly. But let's face it: Adrian Pasdar can't do anything without it seeming a little dirty.
