Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

Art Crawl!!!

Yes, she is very much Claire.

Casting on older Charlie was excellent.

But I am glad that HRG isn't dead. (Although, it is kind of weird to think of HRG and Claire swimming through Tracy more or less.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Although it might have been a moot point, killing HRG would have put me off the show forever.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Casting on older Charlie was excellent.

I love K Callan, and she did a really great job sounding like Charlie.

I thought the finale was mostly very boring. Claire was definitely acting stupid at the end, but I loved the call back to her earlier videos.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yes, I really enjoyed that. Also very much liked Charlie's life w/o Hiro. Kind of meh on everything else, though I feel like they are well positioned for next season, if there is one.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I take it that I'm the only one who believes -- while admitting it was melodramatic -- that Claire was right to out the fact that "specials" exist?

Art Crawl!!!

Yes, I think so - the only way for perceptions to change is for everyone to see that the "specials" aren't necessarily scary.

I don't think she was wrong, exactly. There was that whole dystopian future with Hiro and Peter both getting really hot that supposedly results, but (a) she doesn't know about that, I don't think and (b) I wouldn't mind seeing some more of that.

Also, it would be nice if this why saving the cheerleader saves the world. Because she needed to be the one to do the reveal, on account of the cute and non-threatening, maybe.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

It seems like there was a critical mass on that side (with the carnival crowd ready to come out), but her decision seemed largely selfish, rather than really thinking about the larger Special community. Given the Lesson that Hiro learned this episode, that seems like an important point.

Also? I don't think Indestructo-girl is the power to start with. Not that most of the others are less scary...I suppose at least super-healing is fundamentally a defensive power.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I think it was right both plot-wise and, um, ethically?

The things that go bump in the dark aren't always so scary in the light.

I agree that it was selfish, but it was a good kind of selfish. It was a "this shit has to change or I'll go nuts" rather than a "I CAN HAZ WORLD NOW!!!!".
