I miss Oz. He'd get it. He wouldn't say anything, but he'd get it.

Heroes 1: We Could Be Heroes

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the show and ancillary materials such as web comics! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. Chuffa, Chuffa!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

FWIW, there's a new two-hour Heroes tonight.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Ugh. I still have four eps on the tivo that I didn't manage to get watched in two weeks of being off work. I don't know why I don't just give up. I think that I remember the love of seasons past and if I don't watch the eps, I can remember the glory and believe that it's still good.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Thank goodness for TiVo scheduling, or I'd never remember half these things.

OtoH, I'm much more excited about TDS/Colbert tonight.

Oh boy, Hiro's gone kraxy. It's kinda funny. You know, in a sad, "why don't they kill him already" kinda way.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

What, Claire? No big hug? For your puppet master buddy?

Idiot.

If that tree wasn't dead already, it's sure as fuck going to be severely stressed come spring. Way to interrupt the natural dormancy of deciduous trees!

Sorry, I'm only half-watching (well, one-quarter watching), I looked up during the Cello Magik.

Noah, you are still so very badass.

Did we know Noah speaks Japanese?

No, Claire, don't touch him! that would have been so awesome if she deliberately sidelined Peter like that.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Oh boy, Hiro's gone kraxy. It's kinda funny. You know, in a sad, "why don't they kill him already" kinda way.

Y'know, I'm gonna give them this one, because Masai Oka did a better job of making that more creepy than silly than I expected.

Did we know Noah speaks Japanese?

Yep, we have since the episode where Matt and the radioactive guy broke into his house.

What, Claire? No big hug? For your puppet master buddy?

Also, I'll admit, I had a moment of sympathy for Doyle. Just a moment.

On the whole, I thought some of the character notes were great, even if the story has me bashing my head in a few places. Noah taking out Edgar was priceless, and the look on Mama Petrelli's face when Peter says that Claire had arrived was chilling. Was even grooving on Claire a bit. You could see where she was coming from.

But then, part way through, Lea said to me, "You know, that cello has me thinking of the White Violin." And I said, "Well, at least they'd be stealing from contemporary references now."

I was joking, but OMFG THEY'RE GOING THERE!!! WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!?

Sigh. "Heroes." The show that picks up a random comic and assumes its viewers haven't read it.
