But things happened this episode! Random death! Matt suddenly growing a spine!
It's not Matt's fault that the NBC promo undid the cool character moment. I'm not surprised they'd bring him back, because the Sylar/Nathan storyline is obviously Not Done Yet.
Also, and this is important for my continued interest -- Nathan!
I've missed the last three episodes of Heroes and I don't feel bad about that at all. The bloom is definitely off the rose, for me. I keep thinking that I'll catch up at some point, but who knows? After reading here, it doesn't seem like I'm missing all that much.
I'd like to see HRG, the Petrellis, some Claire, Micah, Mo, Matt with a spine, Emma, and knife boy. Oh, and Hiro and Ando if they behave.
This, minus Mohinder. And that was a great character moment for Matt. Too bad the writers chickened out in the end.
That's going to be twice now Matt has ended up with a chest full of bullets (due to Sylar, no less) and will survive. Though the how the hell does he get from dying out in front of a Texas diner to a hospital in New York? (Or why do the Petrellis decide to go visit a random hospital in Texas?)
So, Emma: accidently shot by jealous ex-lover or lost in a non-existant timeline?
Also, how many times do we have go through the Claire goes from seeing HRG as loving father to distrusting him to them reconciling storyline? Seriously.
I'm actually sad to see Gretchen go, but I appreciate the realistic "I don't want to be where there are people trying to kill me" reaction.
Lately it seems it's been just me posting real-time, but last night I was out hitting six shops for Christmas items. Forgot the show was even on. Made sure I was home on time for Lie to Me, though.
I'm in it for Peter, cuz I am just that shallow. And I do like Emma.
I wish Matt died seasons ago, and wrod to the rehash of the Claire/Bennet love&understand vs. distrust&rebel. Even if part of it was delaying Samuel, although I think he was giving her too much credit on that count.
I think where the show this season went egregiously wrong was not fleshing out Samuel's motivations earlier on. And by that I mean that I still don't get him. My Robert Knepper/Samuel fascination dwindled ages ago, and that's just wrong. I think I have to go watch him getting handsy with Jason Statham to renew my enthusiasm.
I'm with Theo - this was the most fun episode for me in a long while. Plus, "Nathan" is back!
Tracy/Claire hijinks for the win!
Tracy/Claire girl-talk FAIL!
I was about to take serious issue with Hiro
letting Mo go down like that.
I keep thinking I am going to get caught up, but so far I have only watched the season opener. The rest sit on my computer for eventual viewing.
Oh for fuck's sake, Mohinder, I think we know what you're
investigating
leads to. Go home to you oh-so-solid-priorities bride for eight weeks or so. In fact, listen to her. She's as ditsy as you are, but you really DO only make things worse.
