I think that the pics at the end were parkman, claire and hiro.
Compass is definitely a hero detector, but I'm not surprised that HRG didn't get that, since he thinks that no one else knows about the heroes. Plus, Peter's the only other person who's touched it.
Not sure how I feel about HRG/Tracy. The vibe is there, I don't know where I want them to go with it.
Carnival guy is creepy, but carnies are inherently evil, everybody knows that! Or they have a heart of gold and take in anyone who needs help. One or the other. The creepy calliope music signals evil, I think.
Side note: I saw the actor who plays Mohinder on psych last week. it was weird to hear his normal voice, but refreshing that his character on psych was also an idiot.
Unlike what I saw of last season (I gave up about half way through), I didn't hate every minute. I was even happy giving up two hours to it. So that's an improvement.
I thought the focus on Claire and Hiro was a very good idea. It took us back to the tone of the beginning of season one, somewhat. Still a lot of problems with the show, but I'll watch next week.
Question - the only thing I couldn't figure out from the helpful-but-obvious expository dialogue. Who is this woman that Parkman is with, and is that his son? And wheat happened to Molly?
Who is this woman that Parkman is with,
His estranged/divorced wife.
and is that his son?
Yes.
And wheat happened to Molly?
Hay, we oat to be told, but the season is barley begun, maybe they corn face the flax and rice to the challenge of bringing her back with out it bean spelt out by viewer kamuts.
t runs away

Heh.
In my defense, this former English teacher got no sleep!
D found it on demand last night and I think I will stay with it for a little while.
...that could open up a whole nother world of possible avenues to Petrelli nekkidness.
yeah, halfway through the kukri fight I burst out, "cut his shirt off!" alas, they didn't hear me.
I'm glad it was a suicide.
I'm not sure. I think that since they emphasized "jump, fall, push" was forensic science gleaned from TV perhaps Claire has drawn a wrong conclusion.
I miss Mohinder.
Did anyone notice whether the compass was pointing at Peter when HRG held it?
I've been driving by an old-fashioned carnival on my way to Universal Studios every day. I figured it was a set for something but I assumed I'd never know what as they film so many things in and around there. And yet, there it was on TV last night! I can't tell if they're still using it for filming.
Did anyone notice whether the compass was pointing at Peter when HRG held it?
I don't think that it pointed anywhere, it just spun. If one person has powers and there's another person with powers nearby, it might point at said person.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't pointing at Peter.
right, sorry that sentence made sense in my head. The compass wouldn't point at peter because he was the one holding it and there were no other heroes to point at. If Peter (or any hero) were holding it and another hero were to come near it, it would point at the hero not holding the compass.
I thought the question was whether it pointed at Peter when HRG held it, and I thought not.
