Diana Scarwid was great as Alice. And makes me miss Wonderfalls all over again.

Wow - that was actually...good!
I know! Nice to see things tying together. And why is it that, despite the little screen time he's gotten, Charles is among my favorite characters?
Poor Alice.
Does anyone else imagine her riding a whirlwind out of there?
OMG! Brilliant retro-writing alert! Angela stealing socks!
I don't remember this socks thing! We've seen her do it before?
That was an interesting, character-focused episode, but I think I'm still getting tired of the show because I don't know where they plan to go anymore since I know they've generally just been flailing around since the first season without a long-term plan.

She was shoplifting socks earlier this season.
Oooh right! And Peter had to go pick her up from jail.
Wasn't that at the very beginning of the first season?
That's what I thought, Matt.
Wasn't that at the very beginning of the first season?
Yep. That's how we meet her.

See, I feel the complete opposite, because I'm starting to feel like they're sorting out a structure for the characters to inhabit now, instead of wandering aimlessly as they have since season one. We're starting to see a mechanism to keep the characters interacting, and some actual direction and goals.
I think that's true, but I was very sleepy last night during the episode and I watch a lot of shows and I decided that if this one went away I would not mind.
