I was enjoying the Nathan starts a drinking bet and Claire having to finish it, until I realized it was merely a set-up for Nathan's drunken "confession" and change of heart. Which ended up being a bit weak sauce.
Has Sylar ever looked so hot? I was never a Sylar-gal, but he's totally working every inch of the screen tonight. And the shots of him in the rain were verging on iconic.
I thought this episode was more boring than it should have been, but Sylar was hot.
Why wouldn't not!Sylar revert to his natural state when he died?
Is Danko so blinded by his desire to capture/wipe out all the gifted peoples that he doesn't see or care that he's helping to create an unbeatable, unstoppable supervillian who is taking on all the powers of the people he is seeking to neutralize? Does he think that having all the dangers in one person will be easier to take out than in many? Divide and conquer, anyone? Methinks there is much more to Danko, because this is just crazy talk.

I couldn't tell, I was too busy eating up the poetic visuals.

Because?
I agree, it's not really consistent with how we've seen other character's powers behave following loss of consciousness/death.
On the other hand, the change did seem to require a lot of physical exertion (including Sylar returning to his normal form) so I would guess that the way the power works is that each form is a new natural state (it doesn't require concentration/an active power to maintain) and the power involves the actual shifting between shapes.

I think Danko has an over-inflated opinion of himself and believes no matter how powerful Sylar gets, he can still take him.
Or maybe he is just completely batshit.
I think that Danko thinks that he can control Sylar. Has he realized that he has just subscribed to the "one of us, one of them" concept?
Also, love Claire's new look. Hooray for bangs!
Claire had freckles tonight. I swear they haven't always been visible.
Danko's crazier than I'd thought. Narratively I hate the idea of shapeshifter Sylar. Too much. Especially since they've hamstrung the good guys.
That was a really good episode. Danko's a crazy idiot, but the plot is fun.
I wonder if anyone cares that Claire is risking the frat boys getting alcohol poisoning because they're not really going to be able to keep up?
What's the age for alcohol consumption in Mexico, anyway?
Danko is crazy and arrogant and likely believes he is smarter and in control of Sylar. I'm hoping that Sylar doesn't enjoy the shapeshifting because of the effort.
I didn't really enjoy the episode that much. Didn't like the drinking thing. Want more Hiro, Ando, Matt.
