You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Granted not terribly clear, but does it matter much?

It matters to me. I don't particularly want to spend my time watching a show which doesn't seem to value competent storytelling. If last night's ep had been executed better, we wouln't have to be having this conversation in the first place.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Somebody remind me, is Eric Roberts' character still alive in the present day timeline? I think it's also a sign of the bad storytelling that I can't remember his character's name, for that matter.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I couldn't remember his name or basically anything about his character. But now it's coming back to me!! Bennet kills him really awesomely at the end of season one.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

It matters to me. I don't particularly want to spend my time watching a show which doesn't seem to value competent storytelling. If last night's ep had been executed better, we wouln't have to be having this conversation in the first place.

Fair point, but I have to say, I didn't have any trouble following it whatsoever.

Bennet kills him really awesomely at the end of season one.

Yep, he has kind of an ugly end, but HRG was badass in dishing it out.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

And WTF makes Nathan think his father committed suicide???

OK, I missed this entirely - or was that what Nathan thought season 1?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Continuity? What continuity?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

We don't need no stinkin' continuity!

Yes! It's supposed to be this Big Family Secret. I guess Nathan could think his dad had poisoned himself?

Remember when they were trying to cover up Peter's flying attempt as a suicide attempt and MP and NP were all "Dude, remember how Dad had depression and killed himself and WE NEVER TOLD PETER?????"

Yeah. Buh?

Compassionately intolerant

Terrible continuity, but I too could weirdly follow it in a way that I have not been able to with any episode this season.

Seriously, if it weren't for you folk talking about it, I'd skip this show altogether.

But I actually enjoyed this ep even while I was thinking that the writers were saying, 'Scrub a dub dub, let's do some clean up.'

I even said out loud, "okay, this is the Heroes I signed up for."
