OOH, I wonder if dad is the one who wiped Sylar's powers and sent him to the island. Has the company been able to take powers from anyone else?
I think quick running woman probably is torn and so that's why Matt can't quite see through her yet.

Because a kid's power hasn't manifested yet? Maybe he can't take them until the person can actually start using them?
Also, wouldn't Papa Petrelli then been in danger of exploding? Transferring the splody powers from one person to another doesn't really solve the problem.

I am with Sail. Sylar's power didn't manifest until he was an adult, so there would have been nothing to do until the powers actually showed up. Of course, please note that the taking of Peter's powers conveniently gets rid of his "needing to see how things work" power.

right, but he couldn't have taken Ted's power, so he wouldn't have blown up. Now, Ted might have blown up, but that's a different future.
I don't think Sylar saved Peter, despite the anvils. I think Peter's so stupid that his lack of awareness keeps gravity from affecting him fully until he has time to realize he's falling, like a Warner Brothers cartoon character.
