To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Warming up to this season a bit, but I find myself wondering about Mama Petrelli's motivations here.

First, from the TWOP recap of episode two, Mama Petrelli's vision of the future:

Hiro, slumped dead against a door, the Kensei sword buried in his chest. Matt, sitting dead in a chair, eyes still open. Claire, screaming as Knox shoves her up against some live wires. Bennet, lying dead. And finally, Peter, with a huge wound in his upper chest, collapsing against a wall and expiring. Knox drags Claire's body away from her severed head. Mama turns in abject fear, and sees her enemies close up into a phalanx: Adam, Ali Larter (don't know which person or personality it is yet), Maury Parkman and Knox. Sylar then grips her shoulders from behind...

OK. So we have a vision of what's to come. Cool. So what does she do? She recruits Sylar, and then sends Hiro to go dig out Adam.

Huh? I'd be seriously in the business of putting these people down right now if I were her, not digging them up.

Of course, it appears that future Daphne, Knox and Claire were operating on her orders, so, as usual, there may be another layer of motivations going on here.

Art Crawl!!!

Is Jessica real? I thought that Jessica was split off of Nikki - and that Tracy and Barbara are her real sisters.

Well. . . sister/clones whatever.

I really enjoyed this episode.

Possibly because I loved Future!Sylar with baby Noah and Mr. Muggles.

I thought Jessica was an actual sister! Am I mis-remembering? Maybe they were sisters but not twins, and I'm just remembering that part of it wrong.

Art Crawl!!!

Does that mean that cloner doesn't know that there were really 4?

(Shades of Fray: the twins split the powers or only one twin could have the power at a time?)

I thought that Jessica was Niki's twin, but died when they were young. As a coping mechanism when she got scared, she would pretend that she was Jessica. At some point, Jessica became another personality.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Maybe she was fooled into thinking that Jessica was killed, and Jessica is off somewhere else being haunted by her own split personality. :-)

You might have something there. Maybe they decided to take Jessica somewhere, faked her death and renamed her Barbara.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

In S1, we saw Nikki visiting Jessica's grave. Of course, it could've been empty, but I took it to mean that at some point, there was a real, live Jessica. Whether she was cooked up by the good doctor or not, I don't know. We were never told that Nikki and Jessica were identical twins, so maybe the company gave baby Nikki to a family with a daughter her same age and the family just told them they were twins.

As much as I enjoyed future Sylar and son (Noah!!), I really hope the show is not doing a Sylar redemption story. I like my Sylar psychopathic and evil, thank you very much.
