I just watched the third episode of season 2 (it's airing on the BBC here each week).
It got to the bit where Hiro has written his notes to Ando, hidden in the sword base. I could of swear they started "Dear Ando, I write to you with great exposition..."

so based on NBC's promo for next season, Niki isn't as dead as we were lead to believe. either that or they're paying Ali Larter to do PR for a show she's no longer involved with(and letting her still read scripts!).
