Heroes 1: We Could Be Heroes
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the show and ancillary materials such as web comics! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. Chuffa, Chuffa!
Hopefully. Or, maybe they have some way to redeem the character. I have to say, when she wasn't all trembly and brother-dependent, she wasn't as annoying. Maybe there is hope.
That is a good point about funereal practices in Japan sumi. It's an obvious handwave there. The thing about that scene that really struck me was what looked like hand marks in the freshly turned soil. I flashed on Hiro digging the grave with nothing but his bare hands. Wouldn't matter how long it would take would it. And his rage would be a good motivator. The only thing that would have made it better is if he'd taken a twig and scratched, "Here lies the king bitch of the universe...may he never be free" in the dirt.
Everybody's said pretty much what I was going to say. I thought Hiro's vengence was awe-inspiring, but does it strike anyone else that Hiro's not the one who should be vengeful? I mean, Hiro's kinda the one who put Adam on the dark and stormy path to start with, and it WAS a personal betrayal.
I mean kill the bad guy who's trying to destroy the world by all means, but fate worse than death doesn't seem appropriate for what Adam actually has done to Hiro. Sylar deserves that fate more than Adam does (though he also would be more problematical to leave in that condition if he's got all his powers back).
eta DUH - brain freeze. Adam killed his father.
smacks self
I think Mohinder's dumb is contagious.
Could we put Adam and Sylar in the same coffin?
It might get a little crowded, since my assumption was that was Kaito Nakamura's coffin Hiro left him in.
I don’t think Adam will stay entombed for a few hundred years, but damn that was harsh.
That probably depends on whether or not the funeral arrangements included a burial vault as well as a coffin. If not, an unkillable person with even normal strength should eventualy be able to dig himself out, Uma Thurman-style. If so, Adam's stuck for the long haul.
Hey, now that the virus is dust, does that mean Caitlin is trapped in a less apoca-future?
I imagine Caitlin is still stuck in the same place, which is now an alternate future that diverged at the moment Peter destroyed the virus. Hope Peter was good enough in the sack to be worth her exile.
Hope Peter was good enough in the sack to be worth her exile.
Well, her brother is dead and Peter *is* very pretty.
I wonder why Peter just doesn't phase through the safe.
This reminds me a bit of the Joss commentary in the Angel ballet episode where he talks about planning to frame Cordy in a mirror with Angel behind her and the crew/staff going, "Hello? Vampire!" Too bad Kring doesn't have that crew/staff.
It's like watching Superman trying to get to the top of a tall building and the elevator's out.

So, you're saying it's like
Smallville.
Of all the annoyances in last night's episode, this pissed me off the most. Peter's all, that safe looks too strong for lil' old me to move with my mind. It was Adam who talked him through phasing them both out of their cells. So WTF? Seriously, did this episode's writer (was it Kring?) not see that other episode?

Appropriately enough, the writer was Jeph Loeb. And that was ridiculously stupid and annoying.
I really liked Elle in this episode. I loved her reaction when Mohinder said she'd saved their lives.
I loved her reaction when Mohinder said she'd saved their lives.
That was a great face. No less craxy, but KB let the vulnerability through like a champ.
Elle's reaction to being a big damn hero was probably my favorite thing of the night (along with Adam's fate and the Matt/Nate/Hiro show - they fight crime).
I want to play with Adrian Pasdar's eyelashes. I think he and whatever Dixie Chick should invite me over for coffee and eyelash fondling. I'd bring some homemade cookies.
I'm almost assuming that it was Noah who shot Nathan and that Nathan is the very same not dead and in a cage that Noah was at the beginning of the episode.
Oh, and if I ever get my hands on Mohinder I'm going to insert a little chip or something in his brain that blocks every damn thought he's thinking from coming out his sweet little mouth. "Gee, Bad Guy! You have the same virus, guess The Company gave it to you! You're not even torturing me, let me ildly muse for a while and give you lots of valuable information."
