I'm kind of feeling the opposite -- the story's still got me (though please, die already Sylar -- you're last year's plot device). Some of the characters...not so much. I hate plots that turn on a particular character being forever an idiot. Once, okay, but you'da thought Mohinder had learned something about trust (as in, don't) after the wee Sylar Debacle of Season 1.
But they didn't really kill HRG. Whew. For that, I can almost forgive the BoreMeToBlackTearsOfDeath Twins.
[Edited to add:] And Hiro! Twigged to Adam in 2 seconds flat! (How could I forget that?)
OK, speaking of shirtless, if HRG survives being "rescued" by that chimp Mohinder and goes on the lam, I think he should keep looking like that.
His disguise would be the
opposite
of Superman's.
Cool British promos for Heroes:
Claire
HRG
Nathan
Peter
I think that they are station identification things.
You are not wrong, Trudy. yum.
It seems like Bob should know that Bennet's not dead. He brought the ashes to the family, and somehow I don't see him just getting them from Mohinder and actually trusting him. Bob seems like the kind of guy who would make sure to feed Bennet into the furnace himself. (and with ashes, it's easy to cover that you don't have the body. Sandra did sound shocked about the cremation, so Bob probably lied about that being in Bennet's file.)
Huh. I just assumed Bob knew Bennet wasn't dead. I hadn't even considered the opposite. Once we learned that Mohinder was still with the Company, I saw no reason to think that the Company wasn't behind saving Bennet's life anyway.
Sandra did sound shocked about the cremation, so Bob probably lied about that being in Bennet's file.
Exactly. It sounded like a load of crap, start to finish.
I took her shock more as "Dude, he SOOOOOOOOOOOO is not
with
the company anymore. What do you care what his profile says?!?!? What are you hiding?" than "But Noah would never EVER want to be cremated!!"
ditto load of crap
Okay, I was remembering something we were discussing *last* week. *goes looking for brain*
I had a company mandated diversity/leadership/harassment session today. I was amused to note that a guy in another department both looks and sounds like Peter Petrelli, a LOT. The hair's sort of in-between that of emo!Peter and DtaBoM!Peter.
Saw a promo for next week's heroes "finale" during Bionic Woman. Notice they're not calling it a season finale, I assume, in the vain hope that this strike will end and more episodes will be shot this season.
What I found annoying about next week's promo was the line that (spoilerfonted for the promo-phobes)
two heroes would fall, juxtaposed over pictures of Nathan, Matt, Claire, Hiro, and Elle. First of all, what makes Elle a hero (even if the other ones are arguably heroes though I hate that - other than lampshading the concept - there hasn't been much stepping up and heroing in this show but that's another rant), and secondly, I'd bet folding money that none of those five bite it. If I had to guess, wondertwin and flyboy "fall". Or maybe that's just what I want to see.
