We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I think power ness it what seems to run in families.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Uhura needs to be seen again and to bust out her power.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So have people heard the latest strike-related rumor?

Reportedly, Tim Kring wouldn't comply with a weekend rewrite that would tack a season ending onto the last script written and is now off HEROES.

Reminds me of Rob Thomas sticking to his guns and not writing a series finale for VM. Showrunners aren't going to make it easy for the networks.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

and is now off HEROES.

Oh dear, that's unfortunate. Especially since Fuller's already gone to PD.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I think that report's erroneous. This is from the AP story that moved a few minutes ago on the news wire:

Tim Kring, a producer and writer of the NBC hit “Heroes,” said he had to revise the ending of the show’s 11th episode on the chance that it might be the last one to air this season.

“Fortunately we were able to hustle back,” Kring said from a picket line in an effort to shut down the show. “The audience won’t be left in a lurch.”

What probably happened is they filmed the ending, and then he went out on the picket line with a lot of the other show runners. I doubt any resignations are being considered as final just yet.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

D.L. and Monica are blood relations, and she's got different powers than either him or his son.

Also worth noting that Monica's power didn't start until after Micah touched her back and made some comment about "fixing her dreams," so it's totally possible that Micah gave her the power, rather than her inheriting it. Or maybe he just focused untapped power that was already there but not clear. *shrug* this show is getting too confusing, but the powers clearly seem to be not at all evolutionary based but something that a group of people acquired, and have been passing on the potential to their children.

Nope, she'd already made that tomato flower before that.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I thought we had seen her both cutting the tomatoes and beating up the robber before that conversation.

eta: tomato x-post!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, man, Matt is so awesome. I'm so glad they didn't kill him last year.

I had pretty good money on Kensei being Adam Monroe, but I'm amused that he's basically Methos in a pissy mood.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I would be surprised if there wasn't already some fanfic about the two of them out there.

Me, too. Never would have guessed he'd be my favorite character in S2.
