Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I don't think the prank was that effed up -- bitchy girl and everyone else end up thinking she drank too much.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Not my favorite episode last night. It made me realize how few of the storylines I actually care about this season.

I'm sorry, but Hiro in Japan is killing me. I am so bored now. Although I did like the return of Kensei calling him Carp and Ando is still the cutest thing ever. We better get some serious payoff.

Los gemelos aburridos continue to bore (and now with extra, added stupid). Loved Sylar creepily creeping at pretty boytwin. Would love it even more if it turns out that he could secretly speak English all along. Please kill them already. And if Sylar and black goo girl wind up having some twisted love affair, I will hurt someone.

Claire and West. Bored. Again. Some more. I don't care about her noble fight to rid West Covina High of some snobby Heathers. Wherever this story is going, it needs to get there real fast. And for the love of dog, that boy is tore up. I cannot get behind the bowl cut and think, "Ah, yes. That's the hotness."

Monica's accent is killing me. And it's not even bad New Orleans. It's bad generic southern. Killing me. I did like her again last night (loved the bit on the balance beam) and I'm kinda interested in her going all St. Joan on NO with Micah as her super-tech support. Think of the Batcave they could build! I also thought she got a little suspicious of Santa Tobby there at the end, which was a good thing.

I've realized that I have no interest in Peter among the oirish if he insists on remaining fully clothed. And so, he survived the nuclear explosion and became some kind of secret spy working with others to take down the OWI and then got amnesia and then wound up in Ireland? Ooooookay. Bring back KB or shirtlessness or something cause that dog won't hunt.

I missed Matt Parkman. Never thought I would say that. I want more of the Matt and Nathan show. I want more 3M.

I totally thought that Jessica was now the dominant personality (even without the wavy hair of evil). Again, though, not really interested in the Mo-Nikki/Jessica pair.

HRG and the Haitian. Made. of. Awesome. HRG is the man.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I agree with this, and I also thought it was supremely stupid for a girl who is supposed to be trying to blend in.

It was stupid and teenage and I totally dug it. This is the girl who dealt with a teen rapist by ramming his car into a wall. Claire doesn't do low-key any more than her badass daddy does. (And OMG that was twisted and wrong and awesome.

There's definitely some (if not all) of Jessica in Niki's "integrated" personality.

I don't think the personality has integrated yet, and indeed, we have no evidence at this point to say when we're seeing Nikki, ikkiN or a fusion persona. Consequently, if we take everything we've been led to assume and flip it on its head, it could have been Nikki storming out and trying to throttle Bob, and ikkiN playing nice in the hospital bed. Doesn't matter either way to me, I love when Al Larter gets to project a touch of menace.

Awesome episode, all around.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've put my finger on why the NOLA storyline bugs -- it's not so much that the accents and/or details are wrong, it's that Katrina doesn't belong in this universe.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

For me it's definately the accents and the details. Using county instead of parish was a stupid, stupid mistake that would not have been made had anyone spent 5 minutes learning anything about Louisiana. It makes the whole storyline look exploitative.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

wheezes

kat perez, you need to review all television, because OH MAN.

it's that Katrina doesn't belong in this universe.

A thousand times YES.

I can't explain it rationally, but I'm just not comfortable with an AU where 9/11 never happened but Katrina did. It's just...clunky.

And then there's also this.

Why do you think 9-11 never happened? I don't recall them saying anything along these lines.

Because last season revolved around preventing New York City from being destroyed, and not one character thought to mention a parallel, including the politician running for office in New York. It's just not plausible to me that 9/11 could have happened in this universe and never come up as a topic among New Yorkers trying to prevent that disaster.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Using county instead of parish was a stupid, stupid mistake that would not have been made had anyone spent 5 minutes learning anything about Louisiana.

I find it hard to get worked about about mistakes like this. For me, it's on the same level as when Emily Gilmore said she was taking "The 95" up to Boston.
