Mohinder can't help that he's a box of hair. If eleven year old Molly was not in a coma, she could have provided the common sense both Mohinder and Matt lack.
'Get It Done'
Heroes 1: We Could Be Heroes
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the show and ancillary materials such as web comics! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. Chuffa, Chuffa!
One thing that cracks me up is Molly wearing makeup that is WAY too mature and trashy for her. You know a little girl in a My Two Dads situation would completely be able to take advantage in that way—it would be a "girly thing" that neither of them knows about or is comfortable setting limits for.
Bwah! I adore the My Two Dads thing so much. It almost makes up for Mohinder being a box of hair (and how!). But at least he's consistent!
I love Hiro and enjoy Japanese adventure stories, which is what Hiro is guiding Kensei through.
{insert boilerplate furious-at-white-Kensei text here} Because otherwise I would enjoy the story. But I don't.
That said!
I am enjoying the Generations aspects of this season very much. It's kind of analogous to growing up in general. At puberty, discovering all these weird new attributes about yourself and about life in general. Thinking it's all about you and it's crazy and scary. Then finding out that your friends are going through it too, and bonding over the fear and excitement. It's not until later that you slowly get an understanding that your parents are people too and they went through all this before you. And, you know, maybe you should talk to them about it. Right now the two (three?) sets of heroes are so independent, but I think they will need each other more and more.
I also like the idea of seeing the repetition of powers, and powers amplified and expanded, like the parental relationship with Matt. Seeing limitations of powers, and what that means to vulnerability.
Although the generational power amplification thing doesn't seem to apply to the youngest generation of heroes. Flying & Fire = Healing? Walking through walls & Superstrength = Mechanical manipulation? We still don't know Hiro's dad's power, do we?
Is Kensei a real myth?
(hee. a real myth)
Is Kensei a real myth?
Nope. They made him up.
Is Kensei a real myth?
Looks more like a mythster to me.
WRT Mohinder...
WTF? I think I want a bracelet that says, "What Would Mohinder Do?" Because then I can think of what he would do and pick the exact opposite.
Also, the product placement is so blatant (hello extra bright Sprint Phone logo!) and clunky that it's embarrassing.
hello extra bright Sprint Phone logo!
Sprint phones don't work in Ireland.
Neither do barkeeps that randomly close bars down during business hours. For long, anyway.
