Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

New Orleans nitpick of the week: So Monica's house flooded, but they managed to SAVE THE PIANO?

umm... water wings? miraculously at the two-story repair shop at the time?

You're using logic again. Maybe Uhuru has a secret piano-moving power.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

You're using logic again.

I know. But honestly, at this point, why is this plotline set in New Orleans? There has been no story-related reason that they have to be there. And that bothers me, because it starts to feel exploitative.

starts to?

I'm just waiting for the voodoo subplot to make it all come together with a bow.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Was it actually stated that Monica's home was flooded?

Art Crawl!!!

I thought that they said that the family used her college money to repair her Nana's house.

It could have been wind damage.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Someone said upthread that the house had a visible water-line.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

New Orleans nitpick of the week

The accents are going to kill me.

But yeah, as Mr. Jane said yesterday, "It's hip to care about New Orleans." I only wish there were a voodoo or even a hoodoo subplot so that it would seem like there were a reason for it.

Also, please, please for the love of Mike stop making them all sound like they're in a community theater production of Streetcar.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, my guess is that it won't matter for long because everyone seems to be converging on New York again.

Well, my guess is that it won't matter for long because everyone seems to be converging on New York again.

It's already five episodes too long with no end in sight. I really wish they'd never have left NY. It almost feels like the writers skipped four months because they figured not telling us what happened in that time would generate an easy (and lazy) mystery.
