"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, pretty much nothing that would be a payoff big enough for me to stop being pissy about it. I'm not sold on the ingenue, either.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

and yeah the twins have been reminding me of what I didn't like about Xfiles since they first appeared

Trust my rage

My computer ate my post.....argh!!

Things I liked: Molly and her Daddies and Candace showing Sylar himself (and wishing it was Mohinder). Oh, and new Peter is still hot. I like how Peter has powers but no memory and Sylar has memory but no powers.

Things that were boring: the twins and Niki, alhtough Uhura was cool.

Things that seemed dumb: Candace showing off her powers for Sylar, Sylar killing Candace before checking to see where he was, Mr. Bennet sending Claire to a school where he had previously kidnapped a kid. I'm hoping these turn out to be more than meets the eye.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I liked the mention last season that she's really overweight, but to finally see her real body only when she's lying facedown, sprawled and bloody on the floor, just did not work for me. It bothered me that we couldn't see her face, and it bothered me that seeing her overweight body felt like it was supposed to be a final indignity.

Yeah, definitely. Especially after she was like "let me fulfill all of your racist and misogynistic fantasies, because that's totally the best use of my powers!" The whole thing was really ugly, and I was disappointed in the show.

However, if I were Matt's actual child, I would be a little miffed that my dad was off daddying some random kid.

I'm halfway assuming that the child actually turned out not to be his, but the product of the affair Janice had.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Wonder what they'll do next week?

The same thing they do every week, Pinky...

Maybe D.L. can inhabit Niki's body too, just as Jessica did/does??

Oh, that would be pretty cool, if her power is to absorb dead loved ones. (And...combine their strength with her own? Or something? I suppose the superstrength could be unrelated, but her powers have never really made any sense to me.)

Although I guess that doesn't square with Niki going to see the Company to be cured.

I thought she was there to be cured of the virus, not her powers.

It bothered me that we couldn't see her face, and it bothered me that seeing her overweight body felt like it was supposed to be a final indignity.

Yes, very much this.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Mr. Bennet sending Claire to a school where he had previously kidnapped a kid.

Didn't West say that they were living in St. Louis when he was taken?

It bothered me that we couldn't see her face, and it bothered me that seeing her overweight body felt like it was supposed to be a final indignity.

Word.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

It bothered me that we couldn't see her face, and it bothered me that seeing her overweight body felt like it was supposed to be a final indignity.

Plus there's the whole concept that we never saw her as herself in life, which implies that being overweight is too awful to show the world.

I had almost wanted her to be larger, but not necessarily terribly overweight. Her bitterness, and subsequent use of her powers to disguise herself, stemmed from being mocked for her size, but what if she wasn't even really that big? Like how anorexic women have a distorted body image. That might have been more resonant.

As I recall, I got the sense from the previous episode where she hinted that she wasn't thin and beautiful that she projected that kind of appearance to manipulate people. I liked that idea -- not that she hated what she looked like, but that she used other people's preconceptions against them.

Last night, though, put pretty much the worst possible spin on it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Oh, that would be pretty cool, if her power is to absorb dead loved ones. (And...combine their strength with her own? Or something? I suppose the superstrength could be unrelated, but her powers have never really made any sense to me.)

I always figured that the super strength was Jessica's power, but I really wish we would get a clearer explanation of Nikki's powers soon. Considering how much they focused on her last season, I really thought the writers should have been clearer about the powers then.
