aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I am really not feeling this season. The Hiro storyline is so predictable it's annoying the crap out of me, the Wonder Twins storyline doesn't have any emotional resonance, the Peter storyline is using some ridiculous maneuvering to keep it going (I mean, seriously? Not open the box?), and the Sylar storyline had better show that Candace is manipulating his reality or it may be the stupidest thing that's ever appeared on the show. Also, Stephen Tobolowsky is 0% menace, and Mohinder is about as crafty as a 2-yr-old. On the upside, I'm ok with the Claire storyline.

Trying to spell Tobolowsky's last name right, I entered it into Wikipedia, which I had open in another window for some job-related research I'm doing. Wikipedia served up this sorta interesting tidbit:

Tobolowsky grew up in a middle-class neighborhood in Dallas, Texas. Known for his acting and debating skills, he was voted Most Likely to Succeed upon graduation from Justin F. Kimball High School in 1969. While there, he was also lead singer in the first band formed by guitar legend Stevie Ray Vaughan and his brother Jimmie Vaughan.

I'm not much of a fan of the Vaughan brothers, but that's just odd.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Interesting that Sylar has lost his base ability (which seemed to be figuring out how other powers worked so he could absorb them). I wonder why/how that happened?

But did he? I was in the midst of stuff, but I wondered if Candace misleading him about the nature of her powers might not have interfered with the process... it seemed to me that he was trying to teleport there at the end rather than generate an illusory environment. No chance of that with Hiro 400 years in the past.

Hell, for all we know, Candace is fucking with him right now, and he's in the middle of Primatech paper, and only thinks he killed her.

That would be awesome.

That could be very inconvenient for Hiro trapped in 1670. And what if he infected Kensei? Talk about messing up the space/time continuum.

I suspect that Kensei's powers might make him immune to infectious diseases of any sort. And Claire's as well.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Weird!

it seemed to me that he was trying to teleport there at the end rather than generate an illusory environment.

I didn't get that at all, Matt. I think he's got the virus, plain & simple.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

OK, so... if I'm confused about the virus thing, and blanking on where and when they covered it in S1, where should I start re-watching so that it can make sense again?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

OK, so... if I'm confused about the virus thing, and blanking on where and when they covered it in S1, where should I start re-watching so that it can make sense again?

OK ... I don't have episode titles handy, but it started with Chandra Suresh, and Mohinder learning about his sister and how she died.

We really don't get much more for a while after that, until Molly Walker turns up again, and it's revealed that hse's the second known case. That's pretty much the last handful of episodes (leading into the acclaimed Molly has two daddies scenario we're at now.)

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Stray thought: Claire's dad was perfectly fine with torture, human medical experimentation and assassination until Claire was going to be the target. Could the threat of Claire turning against him turn him evil so that Claire has to take him out?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Just remember, prediction isn't destiny (just MOSTLY destiny) on this show? The cheerleader did get killed, after all, but it was the wrong one.

If we're going to use old Strek actors for 1st gen characters, I hope Walter Koenig comes in as a Big Bad.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I hope Walter Koenig comes in as a Big Bad.

It's been done.
