Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

Heroes 1: We Could Be Heroes

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the show and ancillary materials such as web comics! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. Chuffa, Chuffa!

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I love comics in general, and I love the idea of these webcomics in particular, but I am far too lazy to actually go and read them. (And it's got nothing to do with how long they are or anything -- I'm just constitutionally unable to keep up with ancillary materials unless I can do it completely passively. Are the Heroes comics available as an rss feed anywhere?)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

See my link and do 10th wonder RSS. They put text descriptions up every time.

But not the comics themselves, which is what I'm really looking for.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I did see the link, le nubian, and appreciate it. I may even try it out from time to time, but reading text of comics seems even more like homework to me. I did go to heroeswiki to find out who Hana is, as much of that conversation was going right over my head, and may pop back there if I feel the need.

I don't mean to be a whiny about the comics. I understand that dislike of them is one of my quirks that I either work around or don't. I'm hopeful that the patentable Buffista snarkiness may make getting the info here more fun than homework. If not, that's ok too.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I just looked at three of the past comics and am underwhelmed. But that may be browser issues, as well -- I think the navigation for the actual comic is pretty clunky.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think the navigation for the actual comic is pretty clunky.

I'll agree with that. I like the comics mostly for fulfilling my "want more Heroes" feeling that kicks in after the To Be Continued comes up.

This is also a large part of my resistance -- I understand that distributing them as PDFs and Flash make the graphics harder to steal, but it also makes them annoying to read.

All is well that ends in pizza.

The last few pdfs have at least had all pages the same width. I can deal with that.

What is even happening?

Yes, this. I tried them once early on, after Buffistas started talking about them, but got annoyed. I also get annoyed at the homework aspect.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

In hey-that's-weird news, I've been rewatching Fastlane (if you recall, 2000-2001 series from Fox, aired with Firefly and Dark Angel, god I love this show like whoa), and who shows up in the episode but The Haitian? Very recognizable to me, of course. And then, amusingly, they call him The Haitian on this show too! I fear he may be typecast.
