By the way, what's the spoiler policy about talking about the new cast additions? We'd discussed this when Spike came over to Angel S5, but I forget the details. Can we mention the newly cast actors by name? What about the roles they're supposed to play, which has been widely publicized on entertainment magazines, and speculations about those roles? Are they allowable in discussion in white-font, or only allowed in Spoiler Thread?

This is a NAFDA thread, so no discussion of casting that hasn't been broadcast (i.e. in a promo), magazines and such don't count. You can discuss casting stuff in Spoilers Lite, I think.

Wait wait wait -- the Spike Rule was, any cast member who has been announced as being in the opening credits (permanent cast), as of the standups (which are like, in May), mentioning that actor is not spoilery. Mentioning what that actor will be doing, or anything plot or character related, is spoilery.

I think the actors under question are all in the opening credits, but I'm not sure.

New regular cast members may be discussed in blackfont.

The FAQ on Summer Casting Spoiler rules:

Major casting changes, to the Main Cast Only, announced by the network or studio, may be discussed, within their respective show threads only (e.g. post Angel news in the Angel thread, not in Bitches, not the other NAFDA threads), 4 weeks after the announcements, or 4 weeks after the previous season finale, whichever comes later. Thanks for the clarification! Of the new casting additions, the only one I know personally who has been confirmed as a regular is David Anders. But it's tough to talk about him without mentioning the context of his role, so I guess I'll sit on my hands until 9 PM tonight.
