Re: the "unaired pilot": I'm glad they got rid of the terrorist subplot. That would have been the easy way out.
I'm continually confused by the comments that Jack Coleman was only hired for a bit part in the pilot. How could they have not used Claire's dad as a character ever again (even without making him creepy, which they immediately did)?
Also, I want to shake everyone who's LOOKING DIRECTLY AT THE SUN during the eclipse. People do what they see on TV! I'd even be happier if there was just a quick added line about Micah's pinhole camera "because you should never look at the sun." It's possible I'm too obsessed with science safety...
