I think that they should have spent less on the CGI of Sylar creating the Kirby Plaza painting (cool, but unecessary, would have been more effective with Issac) and more on the fight.

Sorry if I'm jumping into this thread without checking each and every message. Why didn't Peter fly himself away from the city? Because Nathan wouldn't have had his Big Moment if he had?
Peter was overloading on Ted's power and couldn't control his own powers.
Mikey, that's the official explanation from Kring, yes, with the meta being "Because we wanted Nathan to save the day!"
I just made a deal with amyth that I'll watch Profit if she'll watch Heroes. We've added it to our list of summer projects.
I'm thinking this is a total win/win.
I just got my Profit DVDs. I will be watching them after I'm done with Life on Mars.
Oh, it's total win/win, smonster. I just finished with Profit via Netflix a couple weeks ago.
I also read somewhere else (though I'm sure someone here will come along and prove me wrong shortly) that we've never actually seen Peter use two powers at once. So maybe he can only use one at a time and since he had Ted's turned on, he couldn't fly away.
Yeah, people keep saying that, but I'm pretty sure we've seen him use two at once. Wasn't he telekinesing paint buckets at Isaac while invisible ?
No, I think he was tripping over them.
Still even if he could use two at once, he was trying to contain a nuclear explosion.
That's gotta take a bit off ones focus.
