You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Mystery solved. I went to double check Chris Claremont's Wikipedia entry, to make sure he was still alive, and came across this:

Claremont also has a cameo as sword repairman Claremont in Heroes episode "Landslide"."

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So he's not dead? I was surprised by that as well, victor. I thought I would have heard about that. Heh.

And that WAS Claremont? Ha!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I was pretty drunk (end of semester! woo!) when I watched last night's episode, so reading through this thread today I was all, oh yeah, I forgot that happened! My main impression of the ep last night was NOOOO D.L. DON'T DIE!! Also, I thought the pacing was weird, but, um, that could easily be attributed to the drinking.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Uhm, when did that happen? I thought he was alive and well.

D'oh! I was swapping him with Dave Cockrum.

Trust my rage

So, in the future, it was Ted that blew up (because Sylar and Peter were still alive, even though everyone thought it was Sylar)? But now it's going to be Sylar?

I'm solidly in the Sylar=hot corner. But I also totally can't help getting a Claire/Peter vibe which disturbs me. Can he please not be her uncle?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

So, in the future, it was Ted that blew up (because Syler and Peter were still alive, even though everyone thought it was Syler)? But now it's going to be Syler?

In the "Five Years Later" future, it was Peter who blew up, but everyone thought it was Sylar.

In the original future, it was Sylar, who had killed Claire and thus could blow up without dying. I'm not entirely sure how Sylar intends to blow up and then become President without Claire's power. This seems like a fatal flaw. Pun intended.
