Fred Pete, much ~ma for Teddy. We went through this very same thing with our old-man cat, Fluffy. Medication and special food bought him an extra 3 years. He was in pretty late stages of kidney damage when we caught it (he was a stray that the neighbors had been leaving food out for - he had many health issues when the kids finally wore the DH down to take him in) but he had really good quality of life until the very end.

People need to post, so I have something to do other than my time sheets.
What is everyone doing this weekend?
Tonight I am cleaning, tomorrow is haircut and color, then more cleaning, and then Scola gets here, and the rest of the weekend will be sent in Squeeville.
I'm seeing Shooter sometime. Other than that and laundry, I have no real plans.
oh, damn, laundry. That's probably tonight and maybe tomorrow as well.

Sewing a shirt for my son's colonial day festivities next week. I've already made a pair of breeches and a vest. Oh and finding some socks for him to wear with the breeches. And finding a way to make his tennis shoes look like colonial shoes (that one is probably not gonna happen - he will just have to get over it) So, not as much fun as you are planning, even with the cleaning. Oh and I have to pay bills too. You wanna trade? I'll even clean and shoot your cat!
the rest of the weekend will be sent in Squeeville
I love this description.
Our friend T.'s birthday is today, so we're having her over for dinner (honey ham, scalloped potatoes, and asparagus) and a decadent cake I found at a local bakery. A few others may be coming up too, and I think we'll be having a board game night to follow. Should be fun!
This weekend...well, I think I want to rearrange the bedroom drastically. ND and I are sick of sleeping in a storage closet. (I'm oddly excited about this prospect, however. Cracks me up.)

Hopefully overseeing the resurrection of my car, Steve Austin ("We can rebuild him, we have the technology") and witnessing the reconnection of my home computer to the internet. I'll be torn between going wild on the highways and wild on the internet.
Alla y'all Scola-celebrating folks pass along my felicitations, would you please?
Fred, lots of kitty health vibes heading your guy's way. Silly fuzzbots, make us care about them and worry when they're below par.
There is six-year-old in the house, following his uncle around like a shadow. It's cute. I may get reading time with him on the couch--if I'm good he'll let me pick the book.
Much kitty~ma for Fred's furry friend!
I'm taking Amarna in for her distemper shot and claw trimming tomorrow morning. If I get up early enough, I'm going to try and get my swim in at 6:00 am. Knowing me, however, it will more likely happen after I get back from the vet (early mornings, especially on the weekends, are not my thing). Then I get to spend some time getting my online bills paid, as well as drop off my lease paperwork (on May 1st, I'll have been here a year--hard to believe!) with my rent payment. Otherwise, it's sleep and clean my apartment.
Kitty~ma for Teddy.
I will probably spend the bulk if the weekend cleaning the house, since I have not done enough of that this week.
My baton twirling coach in high school tried to convince us to wear flesh-coloured fishnets rather than black as part of our costume. She maintained they would have less of a slutty connotation. We held out for black.
